R&R 13.5hrs . expect some Actual Time (AT) as there will be issues, rusted or broken components.

wAS THIS ANY HELP?

Helpful for sure. The shop I am at is telling me about 17 hours if they don't have to install the gaskets, oil pan, and valve covers. 23 hour if they do. That seemed really high to me so wanted to make sure I was correct in my assumption that that was a very high estimate.
 
not the same thing - remove and replace - think of remove tire put on spare.
No work done on spare.

remove and 'repair' is 21.5 +Hrs.
 
Not sure about the WK2 but on a WK with a 4.7L it was 3 full days. One day to pull the engine and the parts going on the replacement long block and 2 days to assemble, reinstall, refill, etc. So basically 30 hours for 2 backyard mechanics.

So 21.5 to 23 hours sounds really close.

Was about the same for the WJ too, 20+ hours for a long block engine swap.
 
Some of them got hydro-locked during flooding.
