How different are JK Springs from WJ Springs

Has any one looked into this? Are there a lot of differences in how they sit in the spring buckets?

I am curious too. I have a buddy with a JK, and he put a lift on it, so I'll grab his stock springs and see if they fit.

I'm getting a set of stockers tonight for a case of mountain dew so I'll post after with the differences. Too bad I don't have a spring rate measurer anymore. That went away when I got out of circle track racing.

They won't fit. The backs kind of went on, but they won't go in the isolator, so I just had them wedged in the spacer lips, and I really wouldn't trust it driving down the road. The front JK springs aren't big enough to fit over the spring perch on the axle, so they wouldn't go on at all.

I don't think either of us are trying to lower the jeeps. I was hoping the JK rubicon springs were taller than my WJ springs (which they are) and I was going to replace my springs with those, thus raising it a little bit.

The springs I had were from a friend's JK Rubicon, so maybe the Rubicon's are lifted a bit from the factory? Anyway, his springs are 1.5" taller than my V8 WJ springs with 110k miles on them. I wouldn't think they would sag a full 1.5", but I don't really know.

To get the fronts to fit the isolator and bucket you need to trim off the lower half-circle (no more than half an inch) of the spring, which may make you lose a tiny bit of height. I tried this last night, worked like a champ on dry fit. The rears will need some massaging, too. I will update this when I get around to completing the whole project. Hopefully with pics.
