Heated Seats Not Working

I've owned my 2011 Laredo since June, and currently have about 37,000 miles on it. I noticed on my way to work today that the seat heater wasn't on, so I pulled over and looked down and noticed the light wasn't on as well. If the button is on LOW or HIGH, nothing, No light indicator, no heat. Weird thing is, it's happening on both passenger and drivers seat. It almost seems like there is just no power getting to them or something, I have no clue. Checked all the connectors and plugins under the seat and all looked well. Checked the fuse in the fusebox for the heated seats, and the fuse looked fine, so I'm not quite sure what my next step should be to try and fix this before taking it to the dealership. Any Advise guys?

Cliffs:
Heated seats not working(Passenger and drivers seat)
Light indicators aren't turning on
Fuse in fusebox looks good
All Connections look good
What do?

No remote start, just stock push button start so the key is always present when I turn the seats on. And yes, factory seat heaters. They have always worked until right now, and in this case, they both stopped working at the same time.

If you have a good dealer near you they might check it out under warranty. Even though you are 1k over. I'm at 38k and the dealer is still fixing stuff. They said all bets are off at 40k lol

I've actually found that the heated and vented seats in the jeep are junk. You can barely feel the heat with your bare hand and you definitely can not feel the air for the vented seats. The steering wheel heater on the other hand is extremely good.

I have always been able to feel the heat(I have felt better), but I have always noticed when the heaters are on. And with winter comin' in quick I'd rather have them working than not:cool: The thing right now just seems like neither seat is getting any power to the heaters which is odd. Is there a resister/breaker that they both run off of that could be causing this?

Should be under warranty, why not return it to the dealer? My guess is its a fuse or relay since they both stopped working and no light illuminated.

Sometimes a fuse may have blown but still looks good, replace it anyway just to see if it fixed it. Just don't put a higher amp fuse in its place, they are made to blow so a spike in power doesn't burn up your more expensive electronics

Yeah, Ill try a new fuse tomorrow and see if it fix's it. I bought my Jeep with 31,000 from a non Jeep/Dodge dealership so I'm not quite sure if they'll honor any warranty the car may have had. I'll probably take it down though within the next few days and just get it figured out.

Agreed on the weak heated seats in the WK2. I've had my Jeep since August, and now that it's getting colder in CT, I'm using the heated seats a lot. For comparison, my previous 2004 Acura TSX had magnificent heated seats, and my fiancee's 09 and 11 Jettas both have as well. "High" doesn't seem that warm and "Low" may as well not even be on. I love my Jeep but this is one complaint I do have.

Also, the heated pad is kinda small. But on high they eventually heat up enough to be uncomfortable for me unless I am really bundled up with ski pants and long underwear.

My wife took my Jeep back in Friday because the drivers seat will go on high for 15 or so minutes then shut off. It will not turn back on high or low unless you turn off the car and turn it back on, the passenger seat is fine. It will stay on high and then go to low after some time.

They are replacing the element, a switch, and something else that my wife forgot what it was. :)

See, if just one of my seats was acting up it seems like the problem could be a little easier to target like that, but since neither of them will even turn on at all, that leads me to believe there might be something going on with the power source to them both. I'll replace the fuse today just to see if that does anything, if not, it looks like a trip to the dealer :/

It seems that my butt agrees with most of you. My wife's BMW 650 is too hot on high. My Jaguar XJ is toasty after a few minutes and the steering wheel heater is too hot. GC has weak seat heat by comparison but the steering wheel seems just right to me. And seat cooling is great in the GC. That said its cold and wet in Oregon now and I wish the seats got hotter.
