Has anyone added front tow hooks on a 2017 -2019 Summit or High Altitude? Jeep don't make hooks for this model but the holes are there so they can be added. (The only company that makes them is Ohio Diesel Parts) I've been leary about installing them because you have to cut out some of the front fascia. I've seen it done on older models but not the newer ones!

Some Summits have an access panel on the passenger side that a hook can fit through. Ohio Diesel offers recovery points specific for the summit, but if there is no access panel it will require a bit of cutting. If you want to install two hooks, the drivers side always requires some cutting. They don't provide cutting instructions, but someone around here installed them years ago.

I've taken off my front air dam and the holes are there (in the frame) to install the hooks. The passenger side looked like it would be easier because there's more room to get your hand up in there to tighten the bolts down (two on each hook) The drivers side has a solid piece of plastic behind the grill, so that would have to be cut also. I got a price to have them installed at a local shop and they wanted $200.00. (The dealership won't do it) I'd like to attempt it but I'm afraid the cuts will be off. I've been underneath my Jeep several times and I can't see anyway of towing or pulling this model Summit / High Altitude from the front. I can't even figure out how they'd load it on a flatbed truck??? There is absolutely no place to attach a hook???
