The generic OBDII readers that places like Autozone use won't get the codes right on CAN-BUS sytems like the JK uses. Should be read with a Jeep scan tool.

This is a big issue with Audi/VW can-bus cars that try to get accurate scans with a generic OBDII reader.

Crank Shaft Position Sensor.

If it is in fact a camshaft sensor error, there is a TSB that addresses this issue:

I suggest when you have it in for popping out of 1st gear at the dealer, have them read the code and possibly apply this TSB if applicable.

That TSB is a starting problem (mine had that issue and I had that TSB fix it). His problem is ESP related, not starting related

 

I will take it in to the dealer. I can't seem to get the codes myself. I keep trying the "Knock three times on the ceiling" but it doesn't come up with a code.
