So ordering food on my lunch break and my window fell into the door. Didn't hear it shatter so I'm hoping I'm good there. Just wanted to ask whoever has experienced, how hard is it to get back on track?

Similar thing happened to me a couple months ago. The cable had snapped out of (and destroyed) the pulley thing at one end of the regulator. I replaced the regulator. There isn't really a "track" the window just clips into the bar on the regulator and gets moved up and down.
Just had to replace mine yesterday when the window got stuck in the down position with rain coming! The glass has a pretty hefty metal bracket on the bottom that has two pins that go into the regulator's bracket. Two little clips hold those pins captive. Seems like the clips broke, or weren't installed correctly, so the window came loose. You might have a simple fix ahead of you. I can post pics of the regulator and the clips if you want.
If the windows just didn't fall off the pins as mtsgsd described, then you'll need to order a replacement motor assembly. In the mean time when you have the door panel off, you can cut a piece of wood and wedge it in to keep the window up. It works better than tape and is easy to remove when your new one arrives.
Alright I'll take a look at it when I get home. Autozone has a dorman unit in stock for the driver window for $50 with my coupon. I'll pick it up if I need it replaced. Just for the record, this is what I'll need right?
If the plastic block broke, you can dremel it out and fix it for free. Use the two vertical metal retainer tabs - grind a groove, insert cable ends, use zip ties to secure.
So found the problem. Somehow the cable got knotted up within the motor. I removed the regulator and as I was trying to relieve it the motor died lol. So off to buy a new one.
Well actually, upon further investigation, the cable snapped lol. Oh well, job is done and all is well.
