So this morning I used the remote start to warm up the jeep and when I got in the driver side heated seat was not on. So I pushed the button for the seat heater and the 2 lights came on and I heard a clicking sound. After 2 seconds I heard another clicking sound and the lights went off. I hit the button again and same thing. I even started the jeep without using the remote and same issue. The passenger seat works fine. Anyone have this issue? Figures it had to happen when the philly area is in the deep freeze for the next couple of days.

If its not a reset thing, then you may have a short or open circuit somewhere. The heat will turn on for a second or two and then will turn off if a fault is detected.

Any more info come up for Drivers Side Only shutting off right away since this thread started I couldn't find anything here ?

It makes a click sound by the glovebox when it goes off after a few seconds.

Passenger works fine.

I looked under seat to see if anything was disconnected I just am trying to avoid going to dealer or auto electric place $$$$$$$

Well this morning as I was driving the check engine light came on. I checked it with my scan tool and it was a code for system voltage low. So at lunch time I checked the battery with my voltmeter and it was showing 11.7 volts and 14.8 volts when engine running. So I bought a new battery and froze my butt off putting it in but all is fixed. The seat heater works fine. Thanks for the replies.

My 2011 JGC driver's side was turning off after a couple seconds yesterday, I checked connectors under seat, don't think that did anything. This morning, it worked as it should. I think it was the turning the vehicle off reset it as it worked NP today. Noticed alot of "opinions" on seat heater turning itself off, not supposed to be a heating pad... horsehockey! Mine on high, has stayed on as long as I can stand it, I usually have to kick it down to low as my back starts to sweat after 10 minues. It's been around 5 degrees the past few days. I have an hour ride to work & it never shuts itself off , excluding yesterday's issue. So glad it fixed itself!

My seat heater failed again after replacing the battery. After taking the seat apart the back heater element had a burn mark on it. Replaced both heating elements and all has been good since.
