Recently I got a P0523 error code on the idiot light and apparently it has something to do with the oil pressure. So to test the oil pressure I want to hook up a manual oil pressure gauge and check the read out.
BUT I'm having a heck of a time trying to find examples online on how to manually attach the oil pressure gauge. Anyone have an example or can point me in the right direction of where to find the connection point on the engine?

(this is on a 2012 pentastar engine btw)

the senor is under the intake if i recall correctly. so even getting to it is not easy. might as well replace the plugs while you have that off. since its the same issue must remove the intake.

old school we would just T the sensor and run a hard line to a manual gauge. But i have feeling that may not be even possible? If there is a oil gallery on the out side somewhere might be possible? I think most just get a something like a arorforce that reads off the OBD2 plug in.

Yeah that's pretty much what I'm finding. I was really hoping there was an oil gallery that I could tap into. I did find this approach today on YouTube but not really sure how reliable the measurements would truly read. Frankly I'm getting close to needing to do the plugs anyway so I might as well just do them both.

Though the pumps do have a issue with their solenoids sticking and the sending units going bad. i just hope the 3.6 last long enough to get a swap going. I really would rather replace the plugs with a 5.3 chevy. the 3.6 is a disposable engine. has so many issues. mine had the head issue right out of the box. will never buy another Fiat/Chrysler anything ever again. I will tell anyone that that gives a ......
