SO I bought a 2014 JK Sport Unlimited and had to have the driver side engine head replaced immediately. I was hoping it would solve the overheating problem but didn't. I did get a service contract that paid for this. The dealer spent 4 hours 'burping \' it when I brought it back complaining it was overheating. It still will get up to 255 degrees going up a hill on the way home everyday. And that is babying it not going over 43mph. I've tried a few time to burp it doing all the recommended stuff to no avail. Then tried vacuum filling it after draining all the fluid I could get out. The vacuum device can't get above 40 and hisses out coolent from somewhere. What am I doing wrong. When I was trying to burp it when the coolent starts rising in the funnel I shut off the engine but the fluid surges out over the top.
Any suggestions are appriciated.

once it is as full as it can get cold, it should burb air out during the first Heat cycle. after filling run it till hot let it cooldown and do not open the cap it will suck fluid from theover flow that you must keep full. If that goes dry it sucks in air. If filled and the cycled say once. that should do it be sure to check that bottle until its stable.

If it does not suck back fluid then you have a leak. It could be the cap, the hose the goes to the over flow tank. Or worse case its leaking else where. can test for leaks with die or if its gig leak some air would tell.

on mine i have literally ran a hose into the rad undid the upper hose and flushed it with never ending water supply running. like 30 minutes. when i replaced the water with the fuide all did was fill it up as much as i could, filled the over flow to the hot line and ran until it was at temp. shut it off. next day checked over flow was near empty<sucked back in. Filled to the cold line. Rinse and repeat. Do not over heat these. they dont fair well.

So you removed the rad cap and the top hose at the rad ran water through the rad and circulated it through the engine and let it run for 30 minutes then filled the rad with antifreeze till it ran out the top hose, then connected the top hose and filled the overflow to MAX and ran the engine till hot and cool down watching the overfill bottle to keep it up to MAX. I'll try that, thanks for the advice.
