Does yours have a U-joint at the front driveshaft differential end or a CV style Rzeppa joint? Post a photo here if you're not sure.

 

 

So it's Rzeppa/Rzeppa. You should not only get a longer driveshaft but convert to a single/double cardan shaft for good longevity.

You'll need the yokes for the differential and transfer case end.

Then there's a couple ways to go about getting a driveshaft. A used front one from a 1993-1995 ZJ Grand Cherokee with a 5.2 V8 will be the most budget friendly, assuming the U-joints, centering ball on the double cardan end, and the slip yoke are in good shape. Or you can get a brand new shaft.

Have you measured it compressed and extended vs the distance between the yokes? It has a slip joint so there's some adjustment in length.

 

I agree, new driveline needed. Also you will need to pay attention to your pinion angle. With the typical single cardan/double cardan driveline the pinion will need to be pointed directly at the double cardan end
