I have 2021 jeep Cherokee limited
Remote start. All the options

I knew I’d misplaced key fob primal in house, but had to be out of town that night, so I bit bullet, found one who said they would make fob like original, and not disable my mine.
I explained I knew it was home. My AirTag battery too weak!
So he upsold me to two, still no damage (claimed to original ).
I paid, then found they were not sensitive and no remote start or key.
he was gone and no return of calls (guarantee? Hah )

I’ve seen a few instructions for getting a Jeep to recognize its fib again. But haven’t used or attempted because I fear disnling the 430 in new fobs ( god back up) even if I re-enable my original. The key in original opens door but that a it.
Can anyone help with experience in this?

will enabling my original mess up the others. ?
Which proceedure would you try?
Thanks
Tom

I recommend checking the key fob battery and inspecting for any physical damage. To preprogram the Key Fob, sit in the driver's seat, close all doors, insert the ignition key, and turn it to the "ON" position four times within 10 seconds. Leave it in the "ON" position on the fourth turn to enter programming mode.

Thanks for taking time to respond.
Checked battery, even though I replaced recently, and still fine. I only haft push button start.
I read one that mentioned using the key in the door fie this purpose. Problem is that these replacements were bogus. I found out after I paid that they have no key.

On my 94 Volvo 2005 Honda what you suggested worked, but each time it required reconnecting each remote at that event and those not connected would no longer work.

maybe I can execute this using the original key to reconnect my original and these new bogus fobs. But in hoping someone has had this work with push button start only. I’ve
as I write this, maybe that’s why my original key no longer works. They just gave used a different method to asociate key with my jeep and maybe that event excluded my original key that’s only a guess. I’m hoping someone has experienced this with jeeps with only te push button. Jeep says to hold fob near or touching the push button start but that doesn’t work either.

First off, I’m glad my advice helped a bit. You gave it a shot by holding the fob close to the push button, as Jeep recommended, but it didn’t do the trick. When you program new fobs, there’s a chance the original fob got kicked out or unlinked from the car’s system. This might happen if the system only lets you pair a limited number of fobs at once, or if the new fobs weren’t programmed right, which could even trigger a system lockout.

i am guessing i can’t delete a fob myself. Im betting that the dealer will charge a lot more than fair price for reattaching my original fob to car. From what ive read, i suspect it isnt a reprogramming issue, but a recognition issue. With cars with keys the attachment of fobs is pretty easy, from cars ive had with keys (a honda and volvo). Getting to that key turn equivalent is something I hope is an option that Ive not found. The remote start is convenient option i am missing. Im hoping that the companies who sell programming tools for DIY programming of fobs will add my Jeep. thanks for the reply
