I am stumped on what my issue may be, here are the details... 2018 Grand Cherokee 103k miles.
About a month ago the check engine light came on, the jeep was running fine. Took it to my shop and the hydrocarbons were high when checked at the radiator, shop told me to go to the dealer as it was a major engine issue. Dealer couldn't replicate the misfire but recommended a 100k tuneup (all new plugs etc.) and in addition new coil on cylinder 3 and new injector on cylinder 3, plug was in "bad shape" and the injector "looked burnt". They did the work and tested, but couldn't replicate the misfire so the problem was solved.
Car ran well for about a week, no issues at all then the "Auto Start / Stop is Disabled" light came on but the car still ran fine. 2 days later in the morning it started really rough but after a minute or 2 it was fine, and drove great all day. Took it back to the dealer and they did some testing after being unable to recreate the misfire. The leak test showed 8% in all cylinders. They say the engine has good sealing quality. They wanted to do more testing but I declined for now.
I have been driving it for 2 weeks, morning startups are rough, some white smoke with a rough idea but after a minute or 2 it goes away. This seems to be getting worse although some days it is worse than others. The car runs fine otherwise, I don't see any noticeable coolant loss and the oil looks brand new. Anyone have a similar issue or could point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance!
