Hi all I have a 2008 jeep grand cherokee that won't start. My fobs unlock and lock however when I put the key in the ignition a damaged key message quick blinks on the dash. I have 3 fobs and they all do the same thing. Is there a way to get a new fob programmed with towing to a dealership?

The lock and unlock functions are separate from the ignition function. You could try a mobile locksmith first. Many of them have the ability to test and reprogram fobs or supply new ones. Someone may have tried to steal the vehicle and screwed up the ignition. In that case you'll probably need a new WIN module.

If ALL THREE are doing this, it's highly unlikely they all suddenly went bad. I would think it's WIN related. I just found this:

Unfortunately what you are describing is a failure of the wireless control module or SKREEM. The only thing that sometimes works is to pull the IOD (ignition off draw fuse) for 30 seconds and re-install and then try to start it. The IOD fuses are #27 and 28 in the engine compartment fuse box near the battery

Get yourself a good bi-directional code scanner, or take it Advantage Auto or AutoZone and have them run a scan for you (Free). I recommend getting your own scanner, it will more than pay for itself. I have this one, and can't recommend it enough!! https://www.amazon.com/Bidirectional-Scan-Tool-XTOOL-D7W/dp/B099K7SSTQ
