Ok guys. Heres my story.. I bought this WK with this issues so it didnt happened after I bought it. It had boxed around PRND but it disappeared after I replaced the ESM. Now, its PRN3 so limp mode and it wont shift.. blah blah same old story everywhere in this forum.
I took it to dealership to have code checked plus have them diagnose the issues and hopefully its shift solenoid pack. I got an email from them said that its internal failure and quoted me 1k to drop it and find the issue or replace the transmission for 6.5k. They didnt drop the pan which is very STRANGE to me. I will drop the pan on monday to see the debris if theres any. If theres significant amounts of debris then I will replace the transmission.
Now my question is 545rfe is available in dodge durango/ram so can I get 545rfe from those trucks and swap it into my grand cherokee? I dont see any issues with that but I want to confirm it. Also, can i get 2wd 545rfe then swap the transfer case adapter to 2wd 545rfe?
