I want to add twin sticks to my Scout TC146 Dana 300. Im buying them from a Scout guy to put in my 86CJ7. What will I have to modify yo run in my CJ?

Thanks what Brand is that? I guess I'll be using the torch and doing some bending.

That maybe a shifter for a Scout TC146 Dana 300 but that's not Scout 300
no texas bolt pattern.

I got my CJ7 running. played around with the twin sticks on my Scout Dana 300. cool easy to use. I did have to bend the shifters. I used map gas
(yellow bottle) I backed it out of the driveway in rear 2 low.

there is a company that will make these old-school look stickers, if you like that sort of thing. Here is one with a 5-speed and a twin-stick:

Yep it's definitely a temporary thing. I've done this once after busting a u joint and it seems like 45mph was as fast as I wanted to go. It just didn't feel right. Perhaps someone else can shed some light.

I use my cj7 for hunting club mud from Oct to May and I really like the twin stick. I can slip the front in and out of high or low much easier than with the single. Also, with a locker up front, I can disengage for quick turns or when the ol gal seems to be going her own way through the mud. My only issue has been the boot. I wish someone would make a solid base, one piece boot that would flex well with the twin stick. As the rest have done, I had to cut/heat/bend/etc to get a good set up. I'm very happy now.
My Tom Woods rear CV shaft took a dive on the highway after a day at Holy Cross City, near Leadville in Colorado. Removed the shaft and eased into Buena Vista, found that if I did anything to fix the shaft the warranty would be void. Drove back to Estes Park on the front axle. Might have made 55 or 60 once or twice, all felt fine though.

I made my twin sticks longer so I don't have to lean way over to operate
the front and rear axles.Great for backing up trailers just put the rear axle in low also great when pulling onto the trail.
