Good Day everyone,
Starting on replacing some of the seals on my 95 gcl zj. As one of the seals im replacing is the oil pan, I decided to also replace the rear main and oil pump. So far so good. I received the pump yesterday and noticed the gasket was torn :frown2:. All of my searches show gaskets, but none matching mine. Does anyone recognize this one and can point me to where I can purchase it?

Looks like 4.0 oil pump gaskets are easy enough to find but while the holes match, the outline doesn't match what your pump shipped with. Is that what your issue is? If you want an exact match you can buy a sheet of gasket material at any auto parts store and make a copy of the one you have.

FWIW Mopar lists the same oil pump gasket, J3172332, for all the 4.0 ZJs. It's widely available.

@zjosh93: Yes hat is what is bothering me. Plus it has one extra hole that the others don't. The pump is a melling m-81A.

That's weird because the gasket RockAuto shows with the M-81A only has four holes, two bolts, the shaft, and the passage to the block. The block only has four holes. The pump has five holes though, and the SKP pump has that five hole gasket. I'm not sure what the fifth hole is but it doesn't go anywhere in the block. I'd just use the mopar gasket.
