Can anyone suggest a good online video showing detailed removal of an XJ dash? Going to be replacing the EVAP and heater core soon and want to watch a good video before I tackle it. Can't seem to find one via google.

00 is 1 step easier. 98 and older used a cable to actuate the heaterbox controls that hangs up when you pull the dash
99+ used a plugged in wire that is unplugged early in the process

I did this last summer. There is a giant thread that I read end to end. I also read Tim's PDF link
I had a 00 parts Jeep I did 1st to get the heater box out and to see just how ugly the job was. When I was done I used what I learned to simplify the process to as little teardown as possible.

Here is what I learned

Excellent Writeup.

FairlanePhil,

I don't need to do this job right now, but I just read your write up anyway and wanted to say that it is excellent. Thanks for contributing it, and I hope its still available on the interwebs when I need it!
