I just bought my first Jeep, a 2011 Jeep Patriot to be exact and love it. Yes it is used and was amazing until this clicking sound started. I am just wanting to see if it is normal or if I should call the dealership I bought it from to fix it. When I unlock the vehicle in the morning it makes this clicking noise that is coming from the instrument cluster for like less than 10 seconds. It will also occasionally do this if I turn the AC higher or lower. Any ideas?

When your vehicle makes this noise, is the vehicle running? Also does your vehicle do this all the time or is intermittent? If the noise is easy to replicate it should be easy for an FCA certified dealership to diagnose.

Could be a number of things due to all the electronics now in cars today. My brother-in-law had a mini van that would make a horrible clicking noise and it turned out to be a bad, believe it or not, bluetooth module. When he told me this I was like WTF? The dealership replaced it and it went away.
