I've towed ALOT with my KK mostly small trailers with quads and motorcycles but a few weeks ago I pulled a enclosed 6x10 filled to the max! with crap for a week trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula it was a 400 mile trip 1 way and the cabin rental cost less then the gas bill!! i got 9.6 MPG!!!

yeah, the tow package on the liberty from the factory adds some goodies like extra cooling. Also it has a bit more electronics as far as I understand to manage the sway you may get from heavier loads. Ultimately, can you do it, sure. Would i do it often and for long periods without the package from the factory, no. I got the factory install and its rated at 5500lbs. I tell you what though, I wouldnt go close to it. My 4k+ boat keeps me on my toes when at higher speeds on the highway.
Agreed. I'm set up the same with the factory tow package and my boat nearing 4k lbs gets me on edge at times. Pulling in and out of wet tow ramps have never given me an issue.

I think the frontal area and shape of your trailer is as, or more, important than the weight of the trailer (if you stay under 5,000lb). Hills will be a big factor concerning the weight. Aerodynamics will be a big factor concerning travel speed and head winds. Watch your temp guage closely, travel at reduced speed, and keep RPM up using "Tow" mode.
i have a 2010 jeep libity unlimerted 6 cyclendre can i tow a 18 foot boat
