does anyone know how to remove the rear hatch glass. i got a new hatch and i want to swap the glass as my old glass is in better condition but i cannot figure out how to remove it from the hatch.

and yes i did search. thru 10 pages worth.

Just unbolt it.....then swap it over to the new hatch.

Yeah like he said. ^ Backed up into a tree limb a year or so ago. Popped the rear glass. Picked one up at a junk yard and bolted it on that night in the dark. It was so straight forward I could even recall the steps. Remember to disconnect the glass heater wire. Also lining up the hinges to glass can be tricky. An extra set of hands would help. Some of my bolts stuck pretty bad and ended up using one from the vehicle and one already on the glass.

how the hell do those black cover that cover the bolts come off? i tried a poping them with a screwdriver i tried sticking a puddy knife under it and all im doing is f-in up the black cover.

The ones on the outside just pop off. They have to be pulled out to get them off, just be careful as I broke one of mine the first time I tried to take it off. Underneath those are two torx screws. Disconnect the glass shocks and the latch and you're done. It's only a couple minute job once you've done it once.
