The only suggestion that I have is to avoid the Detroit EZ-Locker. Beyond that, most are pretty much the same. I suggest not going with the Detroit because it uses 2 springs where the others use 4. Those two springs are not strong enough to keep the axle locked. When it fails, you loose the ability to drive the axle all together.

Aussies are very popular on this site.
I recently went with a Spartan from Northridge 4x4, and love it.
It's basically an Aussie with stronger components, IMO. It's invisible in 2WD and so far, flawless off road!

Since Aussies are out of stock everywhere (steel shortage in Austrailia), David at Northridge sold me the Spartan for the Aussie price!

For those with a Spartan locker up front, do they 'click' on the street when in 2wd and making turns as happens with the Aussie and Lockright lockers? So far, the only lunchbox locker I am ware of that does not click at all is the No-Slip and I am just curious if I can add the Spartan to my short list of silent/click-free lunchbox lockers.

Ditto! It's totally silent in 2WD.... after first day!
Actually tried to make it click, bang, etc. about two weeks after installing it....... nothing!
That's with 80w-140 GL. Had read somewhere (I think from you Jerry) heavier GL is the key for quiet running?
