License Plate Swap?

On another forum there was a thread for a while about people who adorn their garages/man caves with license plates.

Basically the thread said if you had duplicates or ones you would want to trade, you offered them up and then made a deal with other members. Once a deal was made, you would then get the address, send them to the other person and they in turn would send them to you.

I am not sure if there is any interest in this, but I searched and didn't see any threads on the topic. I have 5 or so that are duplicates that I would be willng to trade... I can get pics for those who want them:

Iowa old style, no name of town
Iowa new style, name of town Lee
Coloroad TRK plate
NH older style 1999 was last register date
TX regular plate

Thanks,
Craig

I think I am all set with Nevada, as there are a lot of them out there that I got years ago when I frequented Vegas.... as for Arizona, let me check what I have on that and perhaps we can make a swap.

I am traveling at the moment for work, so I hope to be able to check this out later on tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks,
Craig

I got some PM's on this and I plan on posting up some pics tomorrow... I had to travel unexpectedly and will be returning soon, or I would have never posted this up and then ran away... things are crazy these days!

I am finally back home.
I will take pictures and post them up tonight.

I will get back to individuals on what all I have and could use.

I would have to see the PA plates as I actually have a double PA truck and have to check the car ones.

Finally got back from business traveling, went out to the garage, hung up a few, and got the rest down... Here is what I have. The are uncleaned, removed from the ceiling of a garage I built 7 years ago, so there is dust, dirt, etc. on them... The Truck plates are more rare I would imagine...

I have the Alaska plate on hold for someone, but the others are available.

I started collecting plates back in the 70s. They have been in storage for a number of years now so no pics, you clowns are just going to take me at my word. 1914 Oregon, 1927 Nevada, there is a string of over ten years of an Idaho number from the 60s, Got one from the Northwest Territories in the shape of a bear... I should get them out and put em up.

The Alaska and Texas plates are currently on hold for someone else... the other 4 are currently up for trade still.

I might have another couple more to post up shortly, waiting on a response if they are already going somewhere else or not.

So far there has been some interest, but not a lot of traction.

Just updating the thread...

2 of the plates are on their way to Canada in exchange for 2 nice ones coming this way. I found another plate I had which is pretty cool as well.

I have a milk crate full of plates. A lot from my home state of Maine, but I also have a bunch of other states. I stopped collecting them about 20 years ago and have been dragging them around since. I'll go through them and come up with a list tomorrow.
