Hey everyone  i just picked up a 1993 Grand Cherpkee about 10 days ago. Ive already started throwing money at it and wheeling it every chance i get. A little info about me, im only 21 years old and graduated last may with an associates in automotive and ASE certified. This build we be slow but i will always be doing somthing. I just sold this 95 ram 2500 before getting the jeep.

It was lifted 6" and had 315's on it but was way to long and wide for any of the trails around here so i sold it and bought this Jeep for $1700. It came from southern arizona and has only been up north here for 8 months. It is two shades of red because when the previous owner moved here he wasnt used to the snow and slid off the road. Other than that its in awsome hape and already out wheels my old dodge no problem.

Ive already put a set of rims and tires. (temporary)
and a 1.5" Teraflex BB

Didnt get any stock pics but here goes.

Trimed the front bumper

Painted the Cladding on the side which needs another coat.

Got a set of 17" Cragar Soft 8's and 245/75/17 BFG Rugged Trails (Temporary)

Ive taken it out a couple times this week but forgot camera so heres some dirty poser shots

And a pic of my other money pit

Welcome :cheers2:
I had a fullsize truck before I got the jeep I know what you mean, the jeep doesnt get scratched up nearly as bad as the truck did AND it turns better

Yea the dodge was all scratched and dented up when i got rid of it. O well i had fun doing it.

Ill be ordering a radiator support from kevin's tonight and an IRO 3.5" foundation series lift because th BB isn't cutting it anymore. If anyone has experience with any of these let me know what you think.
Nice man. If I were you I would spend the extra money and get the regular IRO 3.5" kit. You WILL want the double shear adjustable trackbar in front.
New Hampshire :highfive:

Yea i hear ya, the only reason i was going to do the foundation series is i was going to build off from that and add my 1.5BB back on after i got control arms and such.

New Hampshire :highfive:
Where in New Hampshire you from? Im part of a 4x4 club up here. North Woods Offroad (NWOR) and were always looking for new people to join or go wheeling with.

Yea im 6'1" and shes 5'3" so theres quite a diffrence. She looked really tiny when she was driving my 2500 ram with 6" of lift.
well she is good looking so height doesnt really matter ;)
exactly
great start on the jeep, and good lookin girl ;)

Thanks Spike!

I just got my KOR radiator support in last night. How did you guys get the nuts started on the side bolts and how did you hold them from spinning when you tightned them down?

I plan on finishing the install tonight and my IRO 3.5" will be here friday so ill be installing the sunday hopefully.:2thumbsup:

On mine, both of the nuts were welded to a metal tab to keep them from spinning. I had to oval out one of the holes on each side of the unibody to get the bolt to line up. I can't say I was thoroughly impressed with how it went together.
yea i hear what your saying. Mine dont have any tabs or anything, might try to fab somthing up or weld the sides one night after work
Put the lift in last night and also rearended some lady at about 10mph on the way to our shop last night. Now she's complaining of neck pains:rolleyes:. Put a set of used 285/70/17 trail digger m/t's on today after work. Will get pics tomorrow

what a dumb stupiid ******* ******. i hate people like that. in my old car i rearended two different cars ( i had just started driving, one i wasnt paying attention, the other my tires locked up on the wet pavement) each time i was still doing anywhere from 15-20. there wasnt damage to their cars and they didnt even report it since there wasnt damage nor did they have any pains. IMO, smack that ******** in the mouth lol. jk jk dont hit her, may cause more trouble lol
