This is just what I'v been searching for. I had a V1 for use in the car I traded for my JK, and now I'm suck deciding if I want to keep it for road trips, or sell it and use the money for a CB.

I don't mean to derail the subject, but are CB radios good for police detection on road trips? I don't speed much, but I like to be aware of my surroundings.

Mine paid for itself 3 times over in my last car. Then again, I got caught once and was let off with a warning (I honestly did not know the limit on that road. It was 35 in a 4 lane street).

But it is possible to speed with a JK, especially where some of my city's speed limits make no sense or when on the highway.

Gah I can't decide if I should sell it and use the money for a CB setup, or hardwire it and maybe get the CB down the road.

Quick question. How do you remove the A pillar panels and the windshield top panel to run the wire?
