So I have an idea me and some buddies have discussed. We thought since the Wrangler Weirdos have the duck, we should start our own tagging! I was thinking of a Rhino! Maybe a 3D printed rhino to start passing around, or a rhino sticker! What does the forum say?

Well i play devil's advocate here. I think some of the unibody wagons still carry the heritage. But even the devil draws the line with IFS.

Now some IFS is rather good, amazing really. But Jeep will never build it like a U4 buggy.

I really made this remark tongue in cheek. I did use the words "the forum says".. I started out with an XJ. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. If it has straight front and rear axles in it, it is pretty much a real Jeep. Some Jeeps (with frames) are more real than others though.

My wife has a 18 Compass. Now that for sure is NOT a real Jeep. I have to say that I really like it though. It serves her very well in our West Michigan winters and how much she drives for her job. It gets around great on bad roads and gets in and out of our boonie unplowed location after big snow storms with ease. It is comfy on a road trip and gets good fuel economy when doing so.

EDIT: and I do wave at all wranglers and CJs. I wave at anything else that waves at me or look like it goes off road. Waving at a lot of JLs and others is a waste of a wave though. A lot of folks do not know the wave I guess.

While I'm familiar with the whole jeep duck thing, I literally live in the land'o'jeeps, and pass them at about the rate of 1 per mile (seriously) I drive 4 miles to work each day. And pass approx 3-5 each day, no matter the route I take. I drove 21 miles to dinner last night, and we passed 24 on the way. I probably get the jeep wave 80+% of the time, and have owned 16+ jeeps in my 35+ years of driving.

I DD my jeeps. I often drive them long distance for soccer tournaments all over the area. We have vacationed with them out of state. I have even rented jeeps when traveling out of state and country. I driven jeeps everywhere.

I have not once ever received or personally witness a jeep duck.
