Would this keep you from ordering the 07?

Should I take this deal and run with it?

Been getting ready to place my order on an 07' . Went and test drove some 06's today. They have one just like I want. Mignight blue, khaki interior, khaki top, 6 speed, upgraded sound, sirius, the works...

Told the guy I liked it and he told me he would do something for me...

MSRP = 28,975
Cost = 26,667

He will sell me the truck (with 8 miles on it) for $83.00 over Cost PLUS $750 cash back from Jeep.

Comes out to $25,998

Just called him and asked if the truck had the sirius radio installed. He told he would have it installed at no charge if I wanted it.

I haven't priced the '06s, but if you buy it, that's one more '07 on the lot for me to choose from, so I say, go for it! ;)
Look at Edmunds True Market Value (TMV) pricing for the vehicle you are looking at. Back during the employee pricing promotions the price I was quoted for an unlimited was about the same as what Edmunds listed for TMV.

According to Edmunds-

(did not include free Sirius and lifetime subscription they gave to me)

Total with Options MSRP $29,680 Invoice $26,972 TMV $27,394
I paid even less for an '06 Rubicon Unlimited fully loaded with all the extra's you are talking about +. They are getting incentives from the factory to move out the 06's, so we got it way below dealer invoice, plus the $750. My guess is that there is still a lot of "wiggle room". Good luck!
I have a saleman calling me on 2 06 rubicons. both msrp for 28940. He wants them gone for 26,000 out the door. That includes 6% tax and plate. there is a black one and a silver one, both soft tops, 6 speeds. Anyone want them, pm me, they are in mid michigan.

Thanks. Either way I will be happy. If they cant pull a deal on this, then I will wait for my 07 to show up. Sorry to ask again, but what do you think they are going to be charging for these things for people that placed orders? MSRP? Maybe a littler lower than MSRP?
Have you ordered your '07? I didn't think that they were accepting orders yet?

Dealer is taking orders on paper from people who are for sures. He expects to be able to actually place an order within 2 weeks. He is going to spend the entire day, the first day they can place orders at his computer typing them in from what his customers want. Expect orders to start early July with a delivery date of mid August to early September on the TWO DOOR Wranglers and Rubicons. Sources say the 4 doors will be hitting the lots October.
I've been understanding differently.... the FOUR doors are hitting the lots first and then the two doors. I think Rubicon's are coming out late availability on both four and two door. The dealers are expecting to do their first orders on July 5, not sure yet what will be available to order, however.

I agree with fourfishes. I've heard from multiple sources that the Unlimited will start production (and therefore be available) three to four weeks before the 2-door.

I got mine through a friend who is a dealer for that. It's a 6-speed with security group, dual tops, and I can't remember what other options.

Also, after seeing the trails on drummond, there's a bunch of places where that 5+ inches of extra width will make you sweat.
not to hijack, but the lifted jeeps with the different rim offsets must have been rubbing? I wish I could have made drumond this year, but the wifes 8 months pregnant. Next year!

What runs did you go on?
I did all of Turtle Ridge, Marble head, and the trails that encompass that flooded out railroad grade. It was great. Jeeps with less backspacing didn't have much trouble, but there was a good bit of 5+ point turns, even from my skinny (stock wheels) SWB Rubi.

From what I understood, the 07 is 5" wider than the TJ's if you fold in the JK's mirrors in. So figure they're actually quite a bit wider if you're generous and say mirrors are 5" wide a piece.
when you compare the two rigs on thier site.... jeep.com... the seem pretty close. but your right.. a few inches can make things tight.
You don't think the five inches is an even mirror-to-mirror comparison? Why would they rate the TJ with mirrors and the JK without?
Im sure that they are measured the same
As I said in antother thread, I just read the binder that outlines product introductions for '07 that was sitting on the sales manager's desk, and it clearly said that FOUR DOOR orders would be accepted starting 5 July, and TWO DOOR orders could begin on 26 or 27 July (Don't remember which.)

I didn't pay as much attention to the two door info, since I've already got a two door TJ! lol Can't wait for those '07 Unlimiteds!
Wider is not a big deal... I wheel my WJ!:D

I remember one turn on the trail where I did have to make a 46 point turn!
06-07

I just bought a 06 sport friday,debated back and forth.went with the 06 $750 rebate, $500 military rebate,employee price.Plus I had a few things left over from my 03 jeep.I'm not against change,but figured why should I be the first.If I like the new jeep a few years from now I'll get one.Go with what makes you feel right.
