Pretty sure my wife would kick me out if I brought those in my kitchen, no matter what the temp outside was! She dislikes it when any of my outdoor hobbies comes "inside" to be worked on. Unless its the meat that goes into the freezer.
I've done plenty inside. Sye's at the kitchen table. This is the 3rd time I've done beadlocks in my kitchen lol.

Found out that the jeep is still driveable. 2wd and 4wd. I guess the transfer case just popped in neutral... I was to pissy and in a rush to fully look at anything (noob move I know) but my question now is what would cause the t case to go into neutral on its own?

Check your t-case shift linkage. If it gets in a bind, strange things can happen.

My transfer case likes to occasionally pop out of 4 low. I think you just need to adjust the linkage underneath.

But has it ever popped out of 2wd into neutral?

I just tightned it up a couple weeks ago. It wasn't too terribly tight but who knows I'll probably check it out tomorrow.

Started the search for a cowl intake. I don't have the $150 or so in budget to purchase new sadly.
Stock air hose, 3" exhaust pipe, flexible 3" hose, air filter.
I saw a wright up for it once, I purchased everything needed then never did it haha. I'll post a link to it if I find it.

What's the advantage other then making room in your engine compartment? Or is that the advantage?

In theory relocating the intake gets cooler air into the engine, which helps with compression. A true induction system will also direct more air into the intake at speed, which helps efficiency on the highway.

But honestly I think it's more important to an XJ that you get a good spot for a second battery or maybe a small electric compressor to work lockers or air up tires and you get the intake up higher. not snorkle high, but higher.

I killed my motor in my old rig. After dipping it too far in puddles one too many times. I want to prevent it. I currently have a Rustys cold air (found at the junkyard). Has a k&n filter. I want to relocate it. I was dumb and sold the spectre intake (I also found at the junkyard).

Makes sense. Ive read all of those reasons before, just not thinking this afternoon. Still kind of in a food coma from lunch. BBQ place was on point today. Tomorrow is my last day at work before I go back to school so we went out and it went on the company card. Doesn't get much better than that.
