Run separate switches and skip connecting the strands.
Run separate switches and skip connecting the strands.Passenger side rock lights are "done". But whenever I try to connect the strand to the drivers side strand they all cut off. I believe it's grounded good on the rear. I can't figure this out
That's what I'm thinking, I really don't want to do that though hahah,S8NNG8 said:Run separate switches and skip connecting the strands.
There would be an advantage. If each strand can be lit independently they will be brighter than if all got lit up each time you used them. That's what I'm thinking, I really don't want to do that though hahah,
are you running them all in series (one pod connected to the other conected to another, ect) or are the all parallel wired (each pod has a home run back to the switch or power source)?Passenger side rock lights are "done". I'm trying to do it in a parallel fashion, but it's fighting me, my soldering gun is broke so all I have is this pen looking **** that doesn't want to heat up enough, and I ended up ripping the pos end out of the strand and I can't get the solder to cooperate to get it back on. Lmao, nothing's easy with an xj.chriskeenan said:are you running them all in series (one pod connected to the other conected to another, ect) or are the all parallel wired (each pod has a home run back to the switch or power source)?
If in series; you have to many on one run, start another parallel series of light for the other side, wire the sets back to the same switch.
Haha yea its a nice time waster.Buddy a mine has this - love it!

I looked today at the t case selector bulb, and it was different from my HVAC bulb. The t case one was alot bigger. I forgot to grab a spare cluster to take a look at the bulbs. Im thinking there probably different with the different cluster of the 97. I'll check out the bulb finder later on probably. I know i found it all out before but i cant remember now lol. And i remember someone saying that you could get 360* to like 180* bulbs and what not.YoureverydayXJ said:They are a wedge base. Don't recall the size. I ordered all mine through superbrightleds.com. They have a bulb finder, which was accurate. The switches and stuff in the 97+ dash take a twist lock, which I had to find myself. I went by the dimension specs they listed on their site.
