seriously, one of these threads needs to stay alive in the XJ/MJ section and what better time to get a real one going then now with the creation of the XJ/MJ GD. now, lets keep this going.

for me, all i did today was take pictures of my newly cut front bumper.

picture a few posts down.

could of been worse. did the fuel injector upgrade and stupid me didnt have a fire extinguisher handy when i cranked it. looks like two o-rings didnt seat and i had flames at front and rear cylinder.. melted tube going to valve cover into two separate pieces and burnt the wiring to front fuel injector. dry chemical in fire extinguisher works but eeeecchhhhh it makes me gag every time i have to be around it.

Damn that sucks. That was the first thing that went through my head when I was getting ready to crank the jeep after swapping injectors...I had an assistant standing by with my extinguisher.

I just got new tires put on. Firestone Destination A/T, stock size. My fiancee's first comment when I pulled in was that they look comically small.

Oh well.

Also at the shop they did a lookover because I'm due for inspection (... overdue but let's not get into that. Suffice it to say my inspection sticker hasn't been current for a while.) and I have a crack in the exhaust manifold, they couldn't pop the brake drum open and didn't force it since it was just a lookover but managed to estimate it at just barely passable, and of course the evap leak CEL.

But other than that it's passable. ... hooray, another $500 to go to keep my $2000 Jeep on the road.

Bad deal man. At least that's all it did.

I'm glad ky doesn't have inspections but sometimes I wish it did. There are allot of POS's here that have no need to be on the road.

Put my skid on. Of course my hitch receiver no longer fits, even though they told me it would.

It's always something.. I guess that pushes new rear bumper up the to-do list. Especially sucks because thats my only real recovery point, so I guess I'm done wheeling anything fun until I get it sorted out.

Haha very true. There is some awful things making its way down the road. Nice for us though, never had to go through an inspection in my life haha.

that was the part that ticked me off the most......I knew better! well i know not to stick my foot in that trap again.

I Still don't get you people and your 'Inspections' WTF?
Ya know, voter are responsible for the gov't - tell them to stop, get a petition... unless you like it.
Around here they just pull you over if you have bad equipment - well, bad enough to notice.

Went snow wheeling at Little Moab in Elberta Utah with some other JF members, My wife got some action shots off a Off camber situation using my sliders, and Flex shot and a 3wd burn out with smoke show :thumbsup:
