for me, all i did today was take pictures of my newly cut front bumper.

I'm not having fun in it. Scampy's laid up for a long winter nap and some work.

I sigh every day as I back out of the driveway in the family van...
Please tell me it's set up as a man van. ;)

Oh and hey, what is the Moab trip you guys took listed under on YouTube?

I thought he was kidding! Sounds like a good deal! Sellin Jeeps, buying luxury things...
As for myself today:

Wheel Building Motor vehicle Tire Wood

Modified that stupid Tomken Machine skid I ordered this summer. Added those two supports for the front. 3x3 1/4" angle. Should add some more beef yet, but I ran out of wire and patience.

Between my welder not having the guts for this job and Harbor Freight wire, I had a hell of a time laying a half-decent bead.

I've never been to Moab (yet) We are planning a trip in about 2 years though.

Enough time to cage and continue to upgrading to be locked in the rear as well, and other stuff that would be wise for a good 2 week trip.

HF wire is awful, but their welders are fairly decent if you switch to Lincoln wire in it.

I have a Northern Tool MIG. Used Hobart wire in it before with no issues. Id like to give that lincoln wire a try. Dunno if better wire would've helped, but she was really struggling to get any penetration on that 1/4".

Just took the hitch Reciever off the rear. It was a major pain in the ***, I'm hoping I can get new bolts in there or something. They are all ****ty, before middle after, and thank god for PB blaster and vise grips.

jcr sells the nutsert bars if you dont want to make them
Lady cut me off, I slammed on the brakes and avoided her, but managed to blow a brake line in the process. Stupid salty roads and *****es who can't drive. I literally missed her by an inch or so, then she gives me the finger when I honk the horn.

Nothing like driving home using only the emergency brake.

Not exactly something thats gna help on the trail haha, but tried to give the XJ a lil bit more of an updated look today without getting too close to the rice side of things. Had a set of clear parking lights laying around I never used, so I popped them in, keeping the amber side markers. The match well with my H4's and at a glance it still appears semi-factory. Like a new spin on the 84-96 setup. Stuck amber bulbs in to keep as close to OE style as possible.

Itll look much better when I get 31s and decide on wheels. Ignore doubleside tape from door trim. The weather kills my motivation on that project for now.
