seriously, one of these threads needs to stay alive in the XJ/MJ section and what better time to get a real one going then now with the creation of the XJ/MJ GD. now, lets keep this going.

for me, all i did today was take pictures of my newly cut front bumper.

that won't give you much leverage if you power steering goes out.
for an XJ with an aw-4 and 33"s, 4.88 is too deep of a gear. stay with 4.56s.
Isn't that what I said?

I wired up my LED rock lights last night.. they work pretty well, and are obviously brighter in person (8 pods total, with 4 LEDS per pod)

They look sick man!
Cut out, welded in a new piece of dr side rocker. Fighting the good fight in the never ending battle of rust removal............
Why not weld in some tubing for slider?

What LEDs did you use? I wanna do mine up like that as well.

I actually used truck bed cargo lights that mount under the inside rails of pickup trucks. They work really well, but I ha to extended to original harness to reach front to back of the Jeep.

neat, good idea. How water proof do they look?

They are water proof. Seem to be pretty well sealed, both wires in and the LED pod itself.

They do look great. But I have to ask. Are you going to drive around on the street at night with them on like a ricer? Lol

Of course not.. it's for on the trails and for working under the Jeep in the dark, which happened last night when I blew my rear u-joint on the driveshaft

Prolly not since there arent rock on the road. I set some up that go one with the interior lights when the interior lights go on and a switch for off roading.
good find for someone looking for a cheap rear, to bad its a LP30...
