Broke the welds loose from the bolt in the frame rail for the leaf springs...all I hear is pop pop pop. Tomorrow I'll cut through the floor board in to the frame rail to try and get a rachet on it
I'm cutting through the froor as we speak for access to the nut in the frame rail it's a pitaJeepN4KC said:That sucks man. Any updates or luck getting to it?
the nut isn't inside the uniframe rail. its inside a small section welded to the uniframe rail.I'm cutting through the froor as we speak for access to the nut in the frame rail it's a pita
Yes you can. Drill holes thru the flare and fender after trimming then bolt them back on using 1/4-20 fasteners 2 1/2 - 4" in length. They don't pull off in the woods, and look fine.You can't reuse the stock flares if you trim anyway.
I don't either,Motorcharge said:They look weird and out of place imo, especially the rear.
Anyway, mounted my lights after work. Still need to wire them, didn't feel like messing with it at the time.
:eyebulge: yeahhhI fixed a vibration my xj has had since I bought it. Turns out you need more than two bolts holding the transmission and engine together, who would have thunk eh?
I figured this out offer I had cut from the top but I got it. It was a PITA and the new springs were a little too short with the axel dropped like it was so I managed to figure it out. On to the other side today, wish me luckClimbit said:the nut isn't inside the uniframe rail. its inside a small section welded to the uniframe rail.
I've gotten to them by cutting the welds on the bottom and prying it open.
Thanks.I think your carpet shrunk ...![]()
Nice powder coating job .![]()
Yeah . That looks a lot better .Thanks.
Actually, this piece of trim fits over the jam, pin and carpet.
---> OK
here it is put back together, with the plastic trim, polished stainless bolts and ring, and even my Powder-coated hitch-pin behind it (on carpet)
Better?
