seriously, one of these threads needs to stay alive in the XJ/MJ section and what better time to get a real one going then now with the creation of the XJ/MJ GD. now, lets keep this going.

for me, all i did today was take pictures of my newly cut front bumper.

Much better!! Looks great man!
I dig it. Your approach angle couldn't get any better with any other winch bumper.
agreed, would look badass with a stinger on it!!

is it custom or bought? if so what brand?

That. Looks. AWESOME!
God no.

If your looking into doing a bastard pack, its the combinding of leaf springs.

I cut the eyes off the Ford pack, only used the main leaf (which has the eyes) of the XJ pack, drilled the XJ main leaf to fit the larger diam leaf centering pin bolt (which is only 1/16th of an inch larger), an bought new leaf spring clamps.

Since I used the XJ main leaf, the whole thing bolts back on. An the ford leafs are 2.5 inches wide like the XJ, so they fit correctly that way.

Your doin to wrong! Get Chevy S10 leaves, cut the eyes off and bolt it under the xj main. Gives 3-3.5 inches of lift.
What are swaybars?
It's actually a misnomer

What they are is Stabilizers or stabilizer bars, they are actually for anti-sway while turning (to keep the tires under the vehicle)

They stabilize the steering geometry. Here is a good explanation:

Finally got a newer 4wd actuator without the fork snapped off. I now have part time 4 and 4lo. But not full time. Wtf? :brickwall

IDK, the ford spring worked just fine an the gain was just a bit over 3.0 inches. I have heard the s10 springs are softer, but in my experiance the ford springs worked out great.

drove it around with the new black magic pads today... I didn't think it was possible to have better braking beyond just the 16" big brakes. but they do bite a lot better than the EBC yellows.

also realized that I really need to fix all the oil leaks... my driveway is getting to be pretty bad.

Angry eyes on headlights.
looks cool, but in some/ many states that bumper is illegal (too wide).
You may want to check your state's laws

my actionfab front bumper sits an inch further back than that one.

all it needs is a winch...

SFR yours looks great... although you might want to double up on that ziptie :D

Agent Orange and The Flat bar bush bar guy have some competition for worst bumper on an XJ now.

It will get a hoop that will tie into the cage
Debating whether to get new stock springs, or get rid of these ruff country blocks and get the leafs that go with my lift .. Any thoughts?
