Buying cheap will always end up being more expensive in the long run.

JKS Quickers Discos are the real deal! I got mine off here from a forum member, BNIB, for $110. Deals are out there.
I have Rough Country quick discos. Have had em for a long time now. Only problem I've had was someone stealing a stud that the pin went into.

I have done some research on "bastard packing". But I'm wondering from you guys opinions what would be the best donor vehicle for xj leafs? Mine are flat and starting to frown. :nono: this needs to change now. And do you just put them in there where the stock leafs were?

I used the Ford Explorer leafs on my buddies 92 which worked out well. It cost about $125 an 2 hrs of build time. Gained 3 inches.

Did they just bolt right in?
God no.

If your looking into doing a bastard pack, its the combinding of leaf springs.

I cut the eyes off the Ford pack, only used the main leaf (which has the eyes) of the XJ pack, drilled the XJ main leaf to fit the larger diam leaf centering pin bolt (which is only 1/16th of an inch larger), an bought new leaf spring clamps.

Since I used the XJ main leaf, the whole thing bolts back on. An the ford leafs are 2.5 inches wide like the XJ, so they fit correctly that way.

Well...im starting to wonder if this jeep is geared..I could haul serious *** with the 30s and lay rubber like it was nothing. I live on a big hill and coming up it I really couldnt notice much difference, I also hit the highway for about half a mile going to work, and I got up to 60 with little effort. i really need to crack open a diff to see if its geared.

Ya I wonder if it is. I would think you would notice some difference if it wasn't geared
