seriously, one of these threads needs to stay alive in the XJ/MJ section and what better time to get a real one going then now with the creation of the XJ/MJ GD. now, lets keep this going.

for me, all i did today was take pictures of my newly cut front bumper.

picture a few posts down.

Was port matching my intake today and i was cleaning it out with some brake cleaner and all of a sudden i hear "tink tink tink" inside the intake.... well my 2000 had a severe engine failure on cylinder 4 when i bought it. Pic below. And then i installed a perfect running engine from a 98 xj in it and it "coincidentally" started to knock and had some light scaring in a cylinder of an engine that was perfect when installed. Well back to the tink tink tink noise from my intake... Apparently when the previous engine grenaded (like this when i purchased) it blew about and inch total of pieces of piston ring up into the intake because when i sprayed the break cleaner inside it it broke them free and they fell out on the ground. To make matters worse when i started haviing issues with my xj after i swapped the motor in i pulled the head and found on of these pieces in there but i had assumed it to be a coincidence. All i can say is thank god they came out before i put that intake back on my new 4.6 stroker. Now i really wanna punch the previous owner of this jeep in the ****ing throat! Ill grab a pic of the pieces tomorrow.

31's mainly do to cost
I understand its a little bit of money but as a jobless teen im trying to do the best without cheaping out...
for 31s and a budget i know a lot of people will flame the hell out of this but rough country might be your friend on this. You can get the discount through them and still get a decent lift. Or there are some other options depending on what your preferances are like you could do a bastard pack for rear lift and just piece together a front setup
To be honest every jeep ive been in with RC hasnt given me the biggest fuzzy's I am willing to shell out up to $850 with shocks.
But thanks man :)

I do things a little differently i would rather get the control arms i want like ironman4x4fabs and track bar and fill the gaps in with shelf stuff like coils but from a strictly price standpoint they are hard to beat.
Police officer offered me 4k for it but no way I'm letting it go

I did a bastard pack $100, got JK rubicon shocks $100 and found 3" springs and LCA for $100. Im sitting at a 3" lift for about $300 and it works great. The rear is a lil stiff but I think itll work great once I put some 1.5" lift shackles at the right angle.
Anyone have the pre runner winch bumper from these guys?? Looks good!

$275 shipped for a winch bumper. Great prices there! Anyone ever run these?
Yuck. Go with Rotella-T man.... Yeah I know I just opened a huge can. Lol
It was FREE!

I can always drive to the parking lot and change it again. :D

BTW, WTF is Rotella? t
Started the tinting with the side markers and top mount stop. Ran out of old tint..new stuff here by next week for front ambers and tails.

Started to pull apart rear brakes just for a look, ran into seized adjuster. I'll stick with the "if it's not broke..." adage for now.

Also, ordered some Hella Black Magic 500s this morning!
What are you using for tinting? spray, roll-on, brand, cost? I need to re-tint

Had a cop pull me over once just to ask me about it.

I've used this stuff before, and it's pretty easy. A lot of the other brands on eBay come strait from Hong Kong or China...can't speak for the quality. The only issue I've had with this is that it's actually really thick, and kind of tricky to make tight corners. If you've never seen it before, look up "vinyl tint application" on YouTube.

Diesel oil. Great stuff!! It still has all the good stuff the EPA bastards made them take out of regular gas auto oils.

Got news for ya... it IS broke. Fix it. Oh wait, it's only your brakes; they aren't really all that important...

That's what I like most about JF concern for others. LOL. However; they AREN'T broken. I just wanted to look, just because. Something WILL break when I do take them apart, so I think I'll save that project for when it should be done and I have the proper parts and time.

you don't need brakes to stop, that's what trees and groups of small children are for.
