I know when my leaf springs were squeaking I had to re torque the shackle bolts and it shut up after that.

I like that! Good way to look at it - cause it definately is a path less traveled.
Yeah a path that tends to, slinging wrenches and inventing exciting new curse word combos. And yet we forget about the pain and go right back at it!! You think there's a Jeepers anonymous AA group style? Oh wait I think I'm on it now! Lol

Hi, Craig..... And it's ok buddy we all suffer from the same type of addiction!! Let it out brother. Lol.

Ok back to the thread. I went and picked up an old hub assembly from a buddy, so I can use part of it on my swingout tire rack to mount the spare.

Bumpstops will only help so much before you start tearing the unibody apart
But they are an absolute must if you plan on jumping. Period

Acos bumpstops are coming soon to replace the hockey pucks. Tired of looking at stacked pucks

Unless you're getting the ACOS pro models that have the built in air bumps then ACOS don't really extend the bumpstops compared to stock. I have ACOS and have prothanes waiting to go in

measure the length you need, the OEM ones work well enough for most applications, and then raise the bumpstop strike area to fit your measurements.

It your racing it or using it for more extreme things either air bumps or hydraulic bumps would be preferred to the OEM foam rubber ones. the progressive style ones posted earlier are a nice intermediate setup

Don't forget limiting straps, that's how I snapped a shock bar pin. I agree the acos are not long enough for proper bump stops.

i didnt do much besides some light wheeling and went to buy a 94 yj 4cly auto (plan on swapping a 5speed and 4.10 axels) with a 2" body lift. needs some work but somebody had already patched 3 out of the 4 frame rails and patched the tub all decently done and not redneck hillbilly built. Best part of all i bought it with no doors,no top,no tailgate for under $1,000 which isnt bad since even the rotted ones still go for 600-750$ in my area plus wranglers go quick if i decide to sell. Which one is gonna be the wheeler? hmmm:shhh:
