Playing with a few ideas for a "cage" to go around my subs and amp so they can't be easily stolen. I have had the doors off for 3 days but I also take everything easily steal able out, also still trying to come up with better ways to make the doorless mod a little stronger/easier

Where did you snake the wires through? Looks great btw!
Thanks man... very happy with the way it turned out. I ran the wiring through here. Drilled, grommet and a BUNCH of black RTV. I ran the wires through split loom all along the underside of the rack, just need to remember to NOT slip a ratchet strap hook over it!

I used some weather pak connectors so I can remove the rack easily and I sealed them in the back with RTV and inside I globbed them up with dielectric grease to keep them working and from corroding. A lot of work for these and the rear backup lights.

Sunday I gave the radiator a good flush, replaced my coolant, and installed an upgraded H4 headlight harness. Quickly running out of parts from my parts pile and things on my "to do eventually..." list.
Might be about that time to pick out a lift.

they absolutely BOLT DIRECTLY ON !!!
you take door panel off,
remove black plastic triangle above door panel, along with rubber piece behind it (all just snaps on),
then remove 3 nuts (IIRC 10mm), mirror is than free.

repeat for install .....

with mirrors in hand you could do this in 30min.

They use they same type of grommet where the wire enter's the cab and same nuts, I got power mirrors and left the plug lay behind my door panel, I figure i'll find a schematic someday and wire them up.
I adjusted them by hand and they hold and look great, plus FOLD IN !!!

I went to a local JY and pulled them for 50 bucks.

Yepp the mirrors are a direct bolt on. i got my set from my local yard that a friend from school runs ( his grandpa owns it) he gave me the set for free but the driver side was missing the glass. Love the look of the newer style mirrors, and one of my favorite upgrades.
