Those were an idea that got tossed around a couple years ago. I didn't realize that they actually went through with it.These are interesting. Came with my sticker
Ya and it's got the drivers-rear tow hook as well. It's gonna be my capable DD. I wanted a 4-door for a while so i was beaming when i found this rig. Seriously, no rust, so undercoat as much as i can before the winter and salt starts. Run 31's on as close to stock lift as possible for fuel economy, bumped all the way out and set for max downtravel. Maybe clean up approach angle w/ some sort of high-angle prerunner bumper. Spartan lock the front for drivability. So clean, so nice....wow, it even has tow hooks? What are the plans? DD or what?
31's aren't going to get very good fuel economy. I ran them on both my Jeeps (one with Aw4, one with 5-speed), and on both of them, my MPG went up by 2-3 with a 235. Sucks man. You gonna modify it?srmitchell said:I got my cage in for real. Not super happy. The front dash bar is too short, and it's crushing the top plastic piece of the dash. It's really noisy, and the gauge bezel won't fit right.
Back to the drawing board.
Ya, i know. I was referring to the low lift height as the gas saver. IMO, gotta have at least 31's to clear most ruts, better if locked, and it will give me enough vertical clearance to ensure i'm less prone to going high centered, especially if i can make extra flex. I run 31's on my '94 w/ 3.55 gears and 4.5" lift and the gas is pretty bad, probably more due to the fact that I'm driving a billboard than the tires; I can feel the wind resistance everywhere I go.31's aren't going to get very good fuel economy.
