I got myself a 135dB air horn.
I am pretty sure it has ABS. And I wasn't going fast at all. 30mpg at most since I was anticipating having to stop. Tires are brand new as of this spring.Sliding in rain is usually due to 2 issues. Bad tires, and/or excessive speed. I slid a few times in rain with my previous all-season tires. Then I bought my Mastercraft Courser MSR tires which are a hybrid snow/mud/rain tire. They have tons of siping in the tread which helps with snow and rain traction. Haven't had a problem in rain since. Does your jeep have ABS? If it has an 8.25 rear axle it won't, and then even some with the D35 didn't either.
Wow... not the same here man. It starts raining in September usually and stops sometime in May. lol That is what it is like living in a rain forest I guess? Oh and it gets cold for like a few weeks too.washed it.......well mother nature did. got our first measureable amount of rain since July today.
well whats funny is for the first half of the year were were above average rainfall by nearly 5 inches in may. by the end of Oct. were are at 8" beleow average.Wow... not the same here man. To the Jeep, I drove it to and from work. I also ordered an exterior temp sensor for the Overhead Console I still have to install.
If you have a D35 as your profile states, you could have ABS, best way to tell is to look for the ABS modulator under the hood on the left side in front of the master cylinder IIRC.On my way into town to volunteer at the Childrens Museum, I started to slow down for stopped traffic on a wet road. Problem was that I didn't slow down, my tires locked........cranked the wheels right and ended up on top the sidewalk. Backed it up and took off with no damage.
Now my question, I didn't feel my ABS pulsing on the pedal. Is it probably not working? Also, it is my brakes causing traction issues in rain or my tires?
I think you should have just blasted it ! lol - The extra gravel would help the trail :-DWent wheeling with the SBNF Ranger and we had to move a rock out of the road to get though, but not until I got some photos on it and trying to use it as a anchor...

Um, why did it need to be moved? Looks like plenty of room to me...
or just add some scuba gear:laugh::rofl::laugh::rofl:Went wheeling and flooded the inside again. Second time this month. Really need to fix that hole in my floor.
 thats another option but i think im gonna fix the hole. It was actually really funny cause i had three other people with me and I was like well pick your feet up guys their gonna get wet and non of them listened. :laugh:or just add some scuba gear:laugh::rofl::laugh::rofl:
Theres a sealant you need to put on them? what would this be cause I've got to do the same thing soon for both my front and rear pinion seals.replaced the front pinion seal...
...for the second time (forgot the sealant on the inside of the seal the first go around).
Since this is my first post, I've also:
-replaced the valve cover and gasket, cap, rotor, wire, plugs, upper rad hose and the intake filter
I'll post pictures soon; it's the best vehicle I've ever owned. Love it!
If it has ABS there should be a module inbetween the brake booster and the computer on the driverside under the hood. I'll see if I can get a pic of mine. With my previous '00 XJ, it had the 8.25 and occasionally my brakes would lock up in the rain. Not fun with small crappy tires. Oh and 30mpg is not that fast in a jeep. :rofl:I am pretty sure it has ABS. And I wasn't going fast at all. 30mpg at most since I was anticipating having to stop. anything really. I used gutter sealant, but really any kind of liquid gasket works fine. Some axle grease on the seal itself (where the yoke gets inserted) is a good thing too. In the FAQ thread of the tech section, you can find a write-up on replacing it. I did the front one in about 45 minutes.Theres a sealant you need to put on them? what would this be cause I've got to do the same thing soon for both my front and rear pinion seals.
