seriously, one of these threads needs to stay alive in the XJ/MJ section and what better time to get a real one going then now with the creation of the XJ/MJ GD. now, lets keep this going.

for me, all i did today was take pictures of my newly cut front bumper.

Painted one of my headlight bezels with Silver Rustoleum Hammered paint as a test. Turned out pretty good so I'll be painting the rest of my grille, flares and rocker panels the same. I stuck a couple coats of duplicolor clear coat on it for an extra glossy finish.

I also took a torch to my bumper caps and found a nice round crater my fan clutch left in my radiator

filled it up with antifreeze, drove it around the yard to let ti cycle through. darn closed loop is a pain to get all the air out of the system. while moving it around, the fan makes ever so slight contact on the radiator when the motor is torqued in reverse.
my 4 door jeep left me stranded for the second time since weve had her. would really like some help to get her back.

ORDERED CHROMOLY AXLE SHAFTS ....finnaly i had the money to fix my jeep ...woot woot...no more broken jeep once they come in
test them out by doing a huge burnout over that kid who puked in your jeep.
Finally got my gas tank door painted. This thing's been painted and sanded atleast 5 times because my painting skills suck. At one point I bolted it back to the parts Jeep and wire brushed it down to bare metal before priming and painting the last time. I finally discovered a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is awesome for wet sanding(buffing).

I also got a door ding in my rock rail, and touched that up while I had the rattle bomb out.

mounted mine today

With the IRO's, you don't need to remove the LCA mount, and if you've ever had to remove the stock LCA mount, its no fun. Also this is a plus because if you decide to go back to stock, you can.
Made it my avatar (thanks to Csours for the pictures).

Congrats!!!! You shoulda taken a pic.

My XJ was started today and driven around by my mom, she said it started strong and ran like a champ... I was pretty happy to hear that. I bought a bunch of tools at harbor freight for the WJ that can also be used on my XJ. I also got a d-ring receiver hitch insert and a recovery strap!

Got a full 1/2" drive set to finally get that effin hub bolt off

What I did to my XJ:

Well, it was a few days ago, actually...
I sanded down the roof rust, filled some small holes, roll-on painted it flat desert tan with no-skid, cut & folded rear fenders, mounted tj flares to the rear, flat blacked all the chrome, trimmed the stock bumper guards. It was a week long project and I had a blast doing it!
I took about 50 pics and hopefully, I'll make a detailed write-up on the $60 paintjob, which came out a lot better than I hoped!
Any questions, pm me!
Ordered Duratracs!!!
