Did you have to change the doors or are the 97+ mirrors a direct fit on the old style doors? Im interested in doing this myself.

Ok, I appreciate the effort. Sometime if you think of it could you check your door. Im not sure if its there but it might be. What year is it? That sucks about the swaybar 2.MattBillyTayloe said:I can't find the marco paperwork anywhere right now dude, if I find it I will let you know.
Sorry i guess i missed the part where u mentioned macco lol. Do u remember if it was a jeep color or not?MattBillyTayloe said:The code on the door is for the original paint, it was changed somewhere along the way. And thanks, I will figure something out.
Ok sweet, ill def look into that. PG8 sounds like it could be the code, and ill check out the forest green pearl which is defiantly a jeep color. Thanks manMattBillyTayloe said:It seems like it would be, the only thing I have found in paperwork related to me getting it painted, it says color: PG8 I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, it is probably Maacos colors though. That green the guy said up there looked right, I think he said forest green pearl.
Yeah thanks, it says pg8 on that also. Maybe ill buy a pint or a few spray cans to make sure its what i wantMattBillyTayloe said:Also, is this what you were talking about?
Haha thanks, sweet jeep by the wayMattBillyTayloe said:Haha, must have missed that. Sorry, but good luck.

I got them both from quadratec, cheapest place i could find. The "inner boot" was an exact match, the one that bolts to the plate on the tunnel was from a tj, only one i could find anywhere. I have an AX-15 by the way.BlueBadger said:Where'd you get the boot?
No problem. You have to pull the shifter apart to replace it. Just unbolt it from the trans, and clamp the bottom in a vise. Then hit the "bell" for lack of better word, with a punch. Mine came off fairly easily, and to get it back on I used a rubber mallet when it was back in the truck.BlueBadger said:The inner one is the one I need. Mine dry rotted off my ax15 years ago. I get heat or cold (depending on the weather) hit my arm from the E-brake slot. I just wrapped a towel around it. I'll get the right one ordered though. Thanks.
