Stripped my 89 xj down to a shell.....

Removed front end and got the harness and accessories off the motor, hoping to get the motor out tomorrow and the new motor in saturday if it would only stop monsooning!!!!!

Motor swap is almost complete, and its almost on the road.

finished the motor swap and immediatly took the Jeep into the woods LOL

Finished it friday, did it in the driveway my garage is full of other projects.

I learned today that my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport, does not have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport front differential.
It's something from the years 84 to 95. Makes getting parts difficult when you ask for a specific year and it doesn't fit. :-\

So you tell them its a 95 when ordering parts...the high pinion Dana 30 is better than the one that originally came in your 2000 anyway

Motor is finally starting to give. Right during Tax returns! Now comes the decision rebuild it and make it a 4.2L or drop a small block 350 in it. Hmmm decisions decisions...

Also got this sweet tire cover at work. Will cover up to a 33" tire. With my employee discount $25 bucks.

I found a leak from the freeze plug behind the motor mount and headers and another coolant leak up front that looks like its running off a seal or gasket from the oil pan right behind the crankcase pulley that i dont know where its from. Monday looks like a jeep work day.

Water pump perhaps? I did freeze plugs on my last xj, they were fairly simple. Remove the intake and exhaust, and pop the old one out with a screwdriver and hammer.

That was a joke, the 72 trim is way to big from my stock 4.0, maybe a 4.7 would be good for it. Thats going into my camaro, thanks for the link tho
