Vacuumed her and finally got around to changing the oil and greasing the drivetrain. Haven't done either of those since last december. The engine runs SO much better. Acceleration is amazing now. I love it!

Moved the latch hook on the tailgate towards the front of the jeep so it would latch tightly. Now it doesn't sound like 50 mph winds are hitting my jeep everytime I drive on something bumpy.

Tore apart the dash trying to find the wiring that hooks into the power seats as they were inoperable. Ended up just running a wire straight into the fuse box and bypass all the bs that was lurking about from the seats to the fuse. I didn't really feel like taking apart EVERYTHING just for it to be too late at night to go buy something to fix it. Plus I have to drive it tomorrow

Took the seat belt light out of the indicator panel as it would stay on no matter what. Something up there is bad because the buzzer goes off with the belt is plugged in. Oh well.

Told everyone my story of how my muffler decided to break off of my cat 300 yards from my driveway. Luckly i had it wired up so it couldn't fly off. Instead it just grinded against the road. Now my jeep sounds like a riced-out honda...

Sad thing is, I probably won't be able to get it fixed for a while. Maybe I can sweet-talk mom into getting a new exhaust with a flowmaster 40 for me, because I know my dad can't afford it.

Put a new exhaust on mine. The muffler had fallen off a few days ago. Plus it was just time; hadn't had a tail pipe for a year. $66 for the tailpipe, a universal muffler, and 3 clamps. 1:30 of work. I'm satisfied

Absolutely nothing. As much as not driving will elongate the time I have to fill up next, it sucks. This break, honestly, has sucked. On top of it, spending New Years at home blows. I might go for a drive later on, once the parentals are out.

Tore apart my tailgate to find the hose going to the pipe that goes to the rear wiper jet was unhooked. Was leaking washer fluid all over the interior and bottom of tailgate. Fixed!

Put a half gallon more of washer fluid in the tank. Still says "low washer" Didn't feel like pouring in another gallon...

Just had to break my mirror holder today :( So I rigged up this until it gets a bit warmer so I can hit up a junkyard and extract a good one. It surprisingly holds okay. Better than leaving it the way it was and putting all the stress on the other hinge and risk of the mirror breaking more. Flopping around in the wind wouldn't be good either.

Washed her. First time in 2 months

Took the bumper off and cleaned the 2 inches of caked mud out of there. Ended up having to cut the bumper end cover bolt off because it was a non-factory style item and the nut was FROZEN. Have to bolt it back on again soon.

Noticed a bad noise coming from my engine. Turns out it needs a new water pump. Went and got a new one at oriellys before they closed. That's my project for the morning.

Installed the water pump today. Got the garage all f'ing messy with antifreeze everywhere. I didn't have a bucket the size of the jeep :).
Ended up breaking the old one a little bit to get a bolt unfrozen. Cut up my hands pretty good. Let's say...i don't want to have to do that again any time soon.

Bought her some goodies and broke my serpentine adjuster bolt due to improper technique. You're supposed to loosen the slider bolt (thing that moves in the slot in the bracket) before you tighten the adjuster bolt. I know better now. (******* me)
1. Duralast Idler Pulley from Autozone PN 231097 - $19 - Where I broke the bolt. DOH
2. HELP! wiper bushings kit for my 1992 xj from Autozone PN 49447 - $5 - TOTALLY worth it. Were marked for a generic brand kind of deal.
3. Wiper Washer Fluid - $? - Cheap. Ran out testing my rear window washer fix = Ziptie
4. 128* F Thermal Protected Fuse from Radio Shack - $1.68ish - Used this fix> http://www.geocities.com/chmwatson/FAQs/Jeep/HVAC-fuselink_fix.html Easy to do. A monkey could solder it. Just make sure the fuse doesn't get too hot. Touch the metal and get out ;)

I'm so pissed about the bolt though. I did all this work and can't enjoy it tomorrow.

Not today, but this past weekend. Put 394k on it. Hoping to get to 400k+ by summer. If she keeps going, she keeps going. I need to get on that front end noise though...and fix my broken plastic parts from the deer. dOh! (facepalm)

Eh forget that for now then.

Should I paint my grille and bezels black today?

I vote no. I personally don't like the black grille and bezels. But to each their own.

Ya, but his buddy and a guy in a GMC where LOL'ing their ***** off... so he's definitely hella cool in their eyes.

tock -- I hope you dont have JeepForum.com or any other Jeep club stickers or logos on your Jeep because frankly you don't deserve them.
