started spraying down the bolts that hold the fender flares on, rear are loose and distorted, not worth trying to fix or replace so off they come, hoping for no broken bolts
I had a loose flare on the drivers rear, heavy rain storm all but removed it for me, so I finished removing it and also the passenger rear flare too, I still have to do the fronts at some point here and clean everything up
picked up more parts to rehab my XJ, new motor mounts, trans mount, sway bar bushings and new end link kits, slowly getting things thing back to fully functioning daily driver and weekend jeep for going camping etc
motor blew....I think there was a lot of neglect by the PO....I tried correcting as much as I could but ultimately the head gasket let go plus there was a lot of metal shavings when I drained the oil ( last oil change was 1k miles ago and everything looked relatively good then, some very minor shavings on the drain plug but nothing to cause alarm given the way the jeep had been running)
