Busy weekend on my new "to me" 2004 jeep WJ 4.7 trail edition. 137K miles.
Changed the Radiator because after I purchased it I noticed it had a small leak.
Installed a "Mishimoto" thermostat so it would run a bit cooler.
Replaced all the plug and installed new denso coil packs.
Replaced all the window seals and got ahead of any rusting issue I could find that may become an issue in the future.
Made a huge mistake and listened to the guy at the auto parts store and used ATF-4 in my power steering/hydraulic fan. (Now I'll need to flush the system when the correct Redline Full synthetic power steering gets here.)

Ordering a RC 4" lift, and STT Pro 265/75R16 tires. (Debating on staying with these stock rims and adding wheel spacers or buying new wheels?)

There's a weird sound on the passengers side almost like a slight exhaust leak?? But because it so tight I'm having trouble seeing where it's coming from?

But it runs great no death wobble, however, I did take a look at the upper control arm bushings and they look like they could need to be replaced? I guess I'll tackle that with the RC lift install.

There's a few thing that I still need to correct. the more I dive into this thing the more I find whoever worked on it previously was a "Brokekanic" But I guess what can you expect from a car that is 18 yrs. old.

The Mishimoto thermostat is rated at 180* And is made for the 4.7 Jeep engine

I'm more concerned with heating issue and dropping a valve seat. I'm not too concerned with reduced fuel economy or performance gains.
100% agree! My WJ operates between 200 and 210* which should be fine. (The stock Thermostat was only about 5-10 degrees higher.) The little that I may lose in fuel economy (if Anything?) I can live with for the reassurance of remaining low and reducing the risk of dropping a valve seat. For me that is more important.
But I do appreciate you taking the time to try and give me a heads up on this issue. I'll keep an eye on it to monitor any adverse effects.

Have a Great Night!
Did the proper burping of the cooling system and added this to help check for air in the system:

Ran it for 20min with the port open to ensure all the air was out of the system.

Added White gauges.

Did the American flag decal on the rear quarter windows.

Coming along nicely. Got all my control arms and bushings. Just waiting on the lift.

Aussie is getting a new radiator!
Apparently, my daughter's WJ has been leaking coolant for a while now (May ??), and her BF just hasn't gotten it done. This past weekend, I drove the 2 hrs down to go pick it up w/ the trailer, and then tore into it last night. New radiator will go back in tonight.

Yep it's a PIA to change the radiator. Glad I did mine last week. At least your daughter will know who the Man is in her life!!

Today i jammed up half a folded up box of a sparkplug under my airbox in a desperate attempt to fix the most annoying, high pitched, squeaky noise coming from my engine bay. Somehow it seems like it has gone away.
I found that my air box wasn't even secured down. The tabs were broken. Although mine doesn't make any noise.

Got me some headlights!! Super stoked that the company sent them to me in the Middle of the Ocean!!

Received the rest of the parts I ordered. New motor mounts and a trans mount to go along with the t/case adapter I finally found a bit ago. And this will mark the very first time in the 59 yrs I have been on this rock I will pay someone to do the work. My knee replacement is healing nicely, but not enough to have me rolling around on the ground...not yet.
So you replaced your own knee??

Installed a set of cluster rings to make the gauges look nicer. I wanted to upgrade to the electroluminescent cluster but reprogramming the odometer is not an option and neither is finding one with a similar mileage, so this will have to do.

I like that! Are those the rings from Ebay? I did the white gauge swap but the different/wrong mileage on the display bothers me.

Toku, do you have any more pics on your antenna mount? My wife’s getting tired f my magnetic roofmount ham antenna bouncing off the garage door when we drive in/out. I need to get a non perpendicular plan version on my WJ and set it up as you’ve done.

cD, how’s the knee doing?
I just took some left over flat bar metal left over from my Ditch light bracket build and drill 2 holes for mounting screws and screwed it to the top part of the tail light opening. the metal I used is a bit thin. If I were to do it again I'd go with a minimum of 1/8" by 1.25" bar stock from Homedepot. I you want I can remove the tail light and take a few pictures of the area I screwed it to. But it's basically the top part of the tail light opening. I saw a guy on YT use self tapping screws to mount his in the same location.

Installed a rail on the dash for my Ram mounts. Will be installing a switch pod for the lights that I'm adding.
Also replaced the first double din stereo. I didn't like the screen quality of the first unit.

I passed my 2000 WJ through vehicle inspection passed with 100%. Felt nice after all the time and money that I put into working on her. Get my new plates on Tuesday. All set to go for Winter
How often is your vehicle inspected? Our Vehicles are required to be inspected yearly to ensure vehicles are safe to be on the road.

Looks real good what size wheel and tire did you go with. Thanks Keit.
I went with the 265/75R16 STT PRO tires on 16x8 Procomp 69 series wheels.
