Sigh,
Got almost every thing squared away and now the valve cover starts leaking again....

Rockauto has a couple of the Felpro ones on clearance...although shipping might negate the savings if there arent other things you need 🤷:

I have a Rockauto code for 5% off good until 4/14. Anyone can use it and it is multi use. If that helps.

Done a compression test and was disappointed.
Cyl 1 90 psi. Cyl 2,3,4,5,6 120psi. Been having so much blow by it is pushing oil out of the dipstick.

Pulled the head to get a look and didn't like what I saw. Ridge in no.1 noticeably heavier than 2 thru 6.

Cyl. Walls are so shiny you can see the reflection of the piston in them no cross hatching any where.

Oil return passages in the lifter Valley were all plugged but 1 lots of sludge in the valley. 1 plugged pushrod.

Soaked the pushrods in presol and cleared them out. Cleaned the lifter valley and cleared the return holes. Found a broken exhaust bolt hole during my inspection on the head but there are threads deeper so i will use a longer bolt and deal with it later if i need to. Installed a new head, intake and exhaust gasket and reinstalled the valve cover, intake, and exhaust manifold gaskets.

We were re ringing engines at Honda leaving the blocks in the cars. If it's not already back together I'd consider running a home threw it and new rings.

$20 old S-10 housing, welded the weber 32/36 bottom plate to the bottom of the housing, liberally rattle canned the bottom side, cleaned up the housing & clear coated, then used rubbing compound & wax on the frisbee. Almost looks like it belongs. Square filters aren't easy to find, these filters are $7 at napa.

Also found out the parking light fuse has been out for awhile, if the horn works, I might get it inspected tomorrow

Thanks!

Uh, everyone here knows what bird crap looks like & there's a lot of bird crap under there.

Did sorta test it - sprayed with soapy water, blast of air & tacked the bigger bubbles - figure the paint will take care of the little leaks.
Isn't that what they make grinders for??? :)
