I'm just guessing

But it does appear that the MB was hurt during the making of that film :-(

Fortunately, it was just an simulation.
You should have said that last night!

I cried pretty much all night.

I went out in the garage and hugged Willy several times and promised him I would never do him like that.

agear, was it difficult? I need to do that. I have all the kits already. Were there any littles things that one should be aware of to avoid snags in the process? I was planning on doing it with my doors on.

I would describe it just as a little tedious if anything. You’ll have to take the glass out to do it . So you’ll be taking it apart. The stripping in the pic runs all the way down to the bottom of the door in the inside.
I did have to trim it a little. So it’s better to cut it too long than cut it too short so trim a little at a time.
Mine seated by hand but.
However when you get that piece delivered . Look at it first it should squeeze or fold together symmetrically, you could also put in the channel s little to check. If it doesn’t fold and sit right then send it back. SlAnd try’s different brand . This is the 2nd time I’ve done it. And tge first time it didn’t fold equally so here we are.

Ordered a new fuel tank to carb line.... I got this all ready to go in and thought best to change out what looks like original from 1983... And yes I tested the sender and changed out the plastic float for a brass one. I hope to never drop the tank again.

Looks clean 😁👍, make sure your ground connection is clean as well...more than a few have had "off" gas gauges due to something so simple (ask me how I know...)

Here's my newly acquired 1981 CJ-5. It had been owned by a friend/relative for the last 35 years or so but not driven much lately due to his illness. His wife reached out to me after he passed and asked if I'd be interested in buying it. Heck yes!! I owned the same year Renagade in red way back when and had been looking to find another. This ones had a recent repaint but is otherwise mostly original with the 6 cylinder. and 4 speed. I added a new carb and clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing and had to put on new tires due to dry rot so I also added new rims. I removed the wide flares and went back to originals and welded up a back bumper for it out of 3" channel iron. Will add a receiver hitch soon.

I still have the original ground back to the dashboard, I was actually thinking of putting in a secondary ground.

I’m gonna have to paint my Garvin front bumper . It started to rust at a weld and powder coat started flaking. This drill attachment feathered it perfectly in my book.
Also painted over some spots on the hard top where the old color was showing and cleaned the jeep

Got tired of looking at the rear of my CJ sagging with the hardtop on it so I swapped in some OME rear springs. The rear no longer sags. I was able to reuse the bushings that came with my M.O.R.E greasable shackles as well. Swapped out the bushings from my old springs into the new springs with a bit of grease and some motivation with a rubber mallet.

Hmmmmm…..
This can’t be good.
🐮 let us know what s up with that.
I snatched the gun off of Willy, the pedestal remained attached on him.

(even though it is 100% resin [fiberglass], the sheriff's department says riding around with it

all of the time would surely get me fined for causing a disturbance generated by some DA telling lies)

They did say I can drive it to and from events with it mounted.

Been too cold to drive him lately, but today it warmed up and I got to log in about

15 miles.

I liked it, and he seemed to like it too!
