Replacing the distributor on a 1999 Jeep Cherokee 4.0l I6. Need to set timing marks on crank pulley to "0" degree mark on timing plate. Can not locate timing plate! Any assistance would be appreciated

ok the timing PLATE* is likely the timing cover - Be advised there will be 2 TDC events Compression and Exhaust.
To set dist you need to be on COMPRESSION stroke.
