Speaking of technical, I feel the need to ask....

What OTHER type of dentist do you see Bob?!?

Hoss
Hoss I once worked for an assistant Dean and full Professor of Accounting who also went to the tooth dentist. That was his terminology and I've used it since. Evidently it was term used by working folks a long time ago. He'd pulled himself up by his bootstraps and heard it at home. Mom worked in the mill and dad was a farmer.

A high school friend's father was a dentist, and he had a sign above the door leading upstairs to his office that proclaimed him to be a "Tooth Dentist." His office was in an old hotel, and he had suite of three hotel rooms. His chair etc. is still there. At the time the downstairs dining room was a Feed and Seed, and Hardware store. There was also a gunsmith upstairs. Later it was an antiques store. I found out later my friend's grandparents owned the hotel. The building is still in the family. The sign hangs in Steve's basement den.

It's a Southern/ Old Countrified way to identify Doctor's

You always add the specialty on the front.

Family Doctor

Bone Doctor

Kidney Doctor

Nerve Doctor

Head Doctor

Foot Doctor

Being a "Tooth Dentist", makes this Doctor even more special than the others.

My dad (Pap), had 3 cancers which were obtained from loading birds in Vietnam with

Agent Orange.

Pap made it to 76 years old---I reckon that's good, He was more into family lineage and "timelines"

I recall from a really early age that he often would say that I would not make it to 21.

I guess I showed the family tree that I can still climb, even if the branches don't fork a lot!

One of the last Doctors he had to go see before meeting with the Great Squadron Commander in the Sky was

The "Nerve Doctor".

Prior to him and Mama driving off, I told Mama to save a lot of diagnosing time,

Tell the Doc to check the "Last Nerve" first.

That was the one that he said us 3 kids got onto the most.

JF I may have to bring him down to your place and let you take him for a walk in the woods.

How much money does he got?

Let us know what he's looking for, we'll see if it's in stock.

This vest works so well!

Somebody finally noticed me and I had to rush to clock out!

Bob,

Not exactly the shots you suggested.

I had to keep 'em busy.

Both-is of 'em got to hang out with Papa while their crews went

to Greenville.

Cara is no problem at all!

I figured out how to handle Kendall---And it worked!

When she got dropped off, I had her hand over her phone to dad,

Tears fell for about 5 minutes, as she begged for it back,

I refused to babysit her!

When he attempted to give it back to her.

.....And I meant it!

.....And he knew it!

So,

I had already planned stuff to do!

I'm the only one with a phone!

I only use it for necessary commo.

PHOTOSHOOT TIME!

Here's 5

That looks like a heck of a lot more fun than playing on a phone. It's a shame when you have to teach a kid how to play, but it looks like she is a fast learner. When are you going to start teaching her how to drive it?

Looks like somebody fixed this link.

https://oljeep.com/

It's all out in the open now and not "hid" under the right side anymore.

I'm gonna fix my "signature" back to the way I sorta had it

before, if i can figure out how to edit it again.

I went back and snagged the Rat Patrol title using a screenshot from a You Tube episode with "3d Paint"

Manufactured a "B" from the shot.

Installed it on this pic (both faces of Grandmonsters showing)

I like ordering "Canvas" prints of Willy and grands---they look nice on my walls! I know you saw them Bob

There's a place called "Canvas on the Cheap" that sometimes run a

super deal on them. 18 X 24 would be great!

Last time I had to add a border so it would fit properly in the dimensions then cropped it to suit.

Going there next to see if there's a special going on!

You might call David and tell him you have a dollar waiting on a dime. It isn't a hard job to put the torque arm in after everything is back in the Jeep, but much easier to do your way. He seems to get overwhelmed with all the projects he gets going at the same time. Still he needs to ship what you need.

Or you could just call and say I'm coming your way Friday to pick it up. It is a nice drive this time of the year and if you take the Scenic Parkway--SC 11--as soon as you cross into the state it will bring you within 5 miles of his place.

Alrighty John,

(Thanks in advance!!!)

Even though it looks as if the wipers are not correctly parked,

The mirror is green? on the "Look" side?

and it looks like the windshield does not fully lay down,

The big thing is:

MAKE? JEEP?----Should say "Willys" or "Ford"

feel free to get me that one for Christmas (PM me for the address).

I can Put Up with the deficiencies (maybe others can jump in and pick it apart even more!)

I have quite a few ranging from 1/1 to 1/76.

Most are composite (1/1 is mostly fiberglass--others are styrene)

A few are metal

----But I don't have that one-------

---------and that bothers me.

------JEEPFELLER

PS, I still have to switch the driver of the Jeep below to the "Army Lady" that Cara located at the store for Papa's "Display Jeep" and insisted that Memaw use her

"Budget" to purchase it instead of her using her own "Budget". (She's 9 now)

Put the finishing touches on Willy,

a good wash (not really needed), checked fluids,

installed quick connect seat belt for my 93 year old Colonel Jarhead passenger "Joe"

that I have to pick up at his home.

Grab the short step stool for him to get aboard.

Verified my WWII tunes are working on the MP3 player

"In the Mood", "Sentimental Journey", "Boogie Woogie Bugle boy", "Don't sit under the apple tree", "Candyman", "I'm making believe"

That should get us thru the whole Veterans parade.

My other Buddy "Joe" called and is waiting at the starting point in his "GPW" with his National Guard buddy.

I made it to the Colonel's house with a really light rain shower halfway there, just a little wet!

Arrived at Joe's (my Colonel passenger)---They just called him and called off the parade!

Dang it----It only sprinkled a little.

He's 93 and gets around really well. He was stationed at Camp Lejeune several times with his family,

One of his son's got cancer at a real early age, he has recently lost him and his wife to cancer.

He's gotta be one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet, he recalls his war stories in great detail,

despite being a Jarhead and a Yankee!

When I arrived to pick him up, he was in Khakis ribbons and all and wearing his Campaign Hat with

Jarhead insignia (Smokey the bear hat).

His daughter in law snapped a few pic of us----She's supposed to Email 'em to me.

I hung out for 30 minutes or so, then rode around and stopped at "work" and visited with a few coworkers for a few minutes

before returning home.

There's that mysterious van!

I have the work gals walk me to Mr. Jeep when its dark,

I fear that maybe they have let some of those female inmates go at the local female prison,

they are waiting for me to leave so they can drag me into their white van and do

unmentionable things to me.

They see I'm in "Armed Willy" now and keep their distance today. (phone cam)

Tire Wheel Car Vehicle Automotive tire

On the way back

There it was in "Full Bloom"----A perfect picture!

My phone cam is not real wonderful

I had previously "recon-ed" or "scoped out" the most perfect place to get the desired shot I want!

Now it was a matter of speed and swinging by my house to pick up my Canon T3i Rebel Camera.

On this day, Veterans Day, I would normally have it with me, but in fear of it getting wet, I left it a home.

If I could find my little digital camera in "The Hoard", it would have been sufficient for the job.

So I wasted about 10 minutes going to my house and driving to "the perfect pre-planned spot", to capture this pic

without having interfering trees/ buildings/ vehicle/ etc. also being able to maneuver my camera,

I even made sure my cooler and camera case were out of sight.

for the best pic.

It has faded to about 1/4 strength from when I 1st spotted it

If you can see it

"A POT OF GOLD CAN BE FOUND AT THE END OF A RAINBOW"

(CONFIRMED IN PIC)

not photoshopped at all
Tire Wheel Land vehicle Cloud Sky

Willy is at some nearby wide open school grounds, that are wide open on a gentle hillside.

In order for me to get the rainbow to touch him.

I laid on the ground on the grassy edge of a sidewalk.

I lay there about 2 minutes snapping away until the rainbow was completely gone.

I noticed my arms were stinging.

I was laying on a massive Fire Ant mound.

I did the dance trying to get 'em all off for a good 5 minutes.

Guessing---50 or so bites, I'll know in the morning with the little puss blisters!

I would have been satisfied if the rainbow had been at full strength, now I

gotta try to catch another one later.

This has been about the 4th attempt to get a shot like this, at least there are "some" results this time.
