I decided to smoke some chicken wings and have them with tater salad and some Bush's baked beans with honey .

I may just go ahead and cook them tomorrow night instead of Saturday.

I've got a butt on the smoker now, been there since early. However, I'm going to need the grill space so I'll probably end up putting that in the oven around 2:00 so I can make space for the two racks of ribs I have to smoke. My daughter's bringing over a bacon explosion. Smoked hotdogs for lunch.

Has anyone tried this:

Fourth of July Beans

Ingredients:

* 1/2 lb thick sliced bacon, chopped
* 1/2 lb ground beef
* 1 cup chopped onion
* 1 (28 ounce) can pork and beans
* 1 (17 ounce) can lima beans, rinsed and drained
* 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
* 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
* 1/2 cup ketchup
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
* 2 tablespoons mustard
* 2 tablespoons molasses
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

Directions:

1. In a large skillet, cook bacon, beef and onions until meat is brown and onions are tender; drain.

2. Transfer meat into a greased 2 1/2-quart baking dish; add all the beans and mix well.

3 In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; stir into beef and bean mixture.

4. Cover and bake at 350F for 45 minutes.

5. Uncover and bake for 15 minutes longer.

I usually double it and bring them to pig pickins..

Sounds weird, but they are amazing.

That sounds damn good XJ but as a singe man that never married, has no chitlens, lives alone and doesn't throw any big cookouts or parties that would be way overkill for me .

Thanks though for the recipe and it's a keeper .

Might do so.. if these gullywashers stop for any length of time. The local 4th of July Wet and Dry Parade is only gonna be rocking the Wet side, this year, from the looks of it.

We had our 4th feast tonight, everyone wanted something different. Jacob picked out 2 Cornish hens, Al wanted a fillet and I always sway towards a ribeye. We also grilled new potatoes, bacon wrapped prawns and summer squash. Al made a cherry pie for dessert and served it with ice cream. The old Dukane performed well as always. Probably had too many Martunies to be posting but Happy 4th everyone! :)

Wow and wow again Hash .

You are a spoiled rotten dawg I think .

Must be nice ?

Much respect to you Mother .

Not only does she seem to make great tasting food but she also sets a very pretty/artful table setting .

Should you ever eat at my house Hash the odds are that you will be eating out of your lap in paper plates .
